There are around 55 kilometers of them in the Gitschberg-Jochtal family ski resort. The absolute highlight? The ski resort is right on our doorstep and one slope leads directly to the hotel. In fact, the Gitschberg-Jochtal family ski resort also offers many possibilities for ski tourers. Once a week the “Gaisraste” descent is open until 10 pm.

… and all those who want to become one of them, there is a very special surprise at our Familiamus-Farm: while leading a pony you learn how to treat animals respectfully and you have time to “get to know” each other. Well, brave and curious already? Before it goes to the pony riding (from 3 years of age), we first clean, saddle and let out your four-legged friend of its box – that is also a very important part of horseback-riding. Subsequent exercises on the horse strengthen trust and the connection between you. Both beginners and advanced riders can book our private riding lessons (from 6 years of age)- we adapt each lesson individually.

Did you know that there are over 40 different words for snow in Finland? Even here at Familiamus, there are different kinds of snow! Do you know them all yet? Powder snow, which you can blow away like dandelions. Cotton candy snow, which you can use to form the best snowballs. Glistening snow that sparkles so beautifully in the sun. Snow in flakes that falls like feathers from the sky because Mother Huldas shakes the beds vigorously. Would you like to have a snowball fight? Or maybe you’d like to build a snowman? It takes about 45 minutes by car to reach the ski lifts that lead to the Kronplatz (Plan de Corones) ski resort. The Rodengo Bee Information Trail is sure to answer all your questions about buzzing bees. Lots of interactive stations invite you to discover and learn new things about the world of bees. As icing on the cake you find the chance to discover the beekeeping process up close: Admire the good bees and get a glimpse into the work of a beekeeper. 

The 3.5-kilometer-long dandelion theme trail takes you through the naturalistic landscape around Feldthurns/Velturno. On the trail you will discover more about this sun-yellow flower.  
Did you know that the dandelion is even used for medicinal purposes? The highlight is the attraction of walking on the dandelion petal!  
This theme trail is the perfect destination for family walks and offers a fabulous chance to discover nature along with its miracles. 

The various climbing routes connecting the different trees in the little forest at incredible heights are for those especially brave and those who want to jump higher than their shadows. Don’t worry, of course you are always held by the rope.

Here, glittering gems, shimmering crystals and beautiful minerals from all over the world await you. As soon as you step through the door, you are immersed in a sparkling world where everything revolves around the theme of minerals. The museum houses an impressive collection of more than 500 minerals and gemstones. A special highlight are the Teiser spheres, which at first seem unimpressive on the outside, but their interior reveals their true beauty. 

The Iceman is probably the most famous glacier mummy, who lived about 5,300 years ago and was discovered in 1991. In the Archaeology Museum in Bolzano you will find an extensive exhibition about Ötzi, his life, clothing, tools, etc. In addition, the museum houses numerous exciting artifacts and findings from different eras and ages. 

Bruneck is famous for its medieval architecture and its picturesque alleys. Walking through the old town you feel like in another time. Everywhere there are small cafes, restaurant and stores that invite you to linger. The streets are paved with cobblestones and the buildings are decorated with colorfully painted facades. The Lumen Museum of Alpine Photography in Bruneck is the absolute must-go for landscape photography enthusiasts. Everything in this museum revolves around the beauty of the mountains and the creativity of photography. Here you will find a large collection of photographs showing mountains through the eyes of some of the most famous photographers. The LUMEN museum, however, is much more than a collection of photographs. In fact, you will also find interactive illustrations and multimedia-shows that will immerse you in the wonderful world of alpine photography. 

The Mountain Messner museums are a unique collection of museums conceived by the famous mountaineer Reinhold Messner. In Bruneck you will find two of them directly:  
MMM Corones is located on the summit of Plan di Corones. The museum is built directly into the scarp and offers incomparable views of the Dolomites. Here you will immerse yourself in the life of mountaineering and experience the fascination of climbing.  
The MMM Ripa, on the other hand, offers you a peek into cultures and peoples from around the world. The museum is located at the former Bruneck Castle and houses a large collection of exhibits and artifacts from all parts of the world. 

Starting from the Plose funicular, the WoodyWalk trail, which is also accessible with a stroller, takes you to many attractions: The huge slide, the forest telephone, the bell pond, the Viking boat and much more! Face, among other things, the challenge of experiencing the “don’t touch the ground” trail. 

The fun thing about this family walk on the Plose is that the tour can be walked in two directions: Clockwise-if you like an active walk and don’t mind walking uphill, or counterclockwise-if you prefer to walk downhill. Among other things, the walk hides several stations with riddles and interactive games for the whole family. 

Another attraction not to be missed is on Brixen’s main mountain, the Plose: 
We are talking about the mountaincarts!!! Three times a week, from June to July, young and old adventurers (minors are only allowed in if accompanied by an adult), can use the mountaincarts to ride from the mountain station to the valley station. You choose the speed!
